This policy covers rumeya.com, the Rumeya home decorating website. It explains what happens to information when you browse, save a guide, or send us a message. You can ask a privacy question through our contact form by selecting “Privacy request.”
Browsing and technical information
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address, browser information, requested page, request time, and referring page when your browser sends one. Server logs help us investigate errors and unwanted traffic.
Search terms and other information in a page address can appear in request logs. Please do not put personal or sensitive information into the site search.
Saved ideas and checklists
Saving an article stores its article number in your browser’s local storage. You can save up to 50 guides without creating an account. The collection does not sync between browsers or devices. When you open Saved Ideas, your browser sends the saved article numbers to Rumeya to load those guides; that request may appear in technical logs.
Saved numbers remain until you remove them or the browser clears the site data. You can unsave guides individually or clear Rumeya’s site data in your browser settings. Checklist selections stay on the open page and reset when it is reloaded; the checklist does not upload your measurements or completed selections.
Contact messages
The contact form collects your email address, an optional name, a topic, and the message you enter. We use these details to handle questions, corrections, and privacy requests and to follow up when appropriate. Messages are stored in the website database and are available only to site administrators through WordPress. They are not public comments, newsletter subscriptions, or automatic email notifications.
The form uses a request-verification token, a hidden spam field, and temporary submission counters to limit abuse. The counters use a keyed hash derived from the connection’s IP address rather than saving that address in the message. These counters expire after an hour without further activity. Our hosting and security services may still record the technical request information described above.
Please send only what is needed to explain your question. Do not submit passwords, payment details, identity documents, or sensitive information about yourself or another person.
Cookies and security services
You do not need to sign in to read Rumeya. WordPress uses cookies on its login screen and for signed-in administrators. Cloudflare may set cookies when performing security checks. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation and privacy policy for more information.
You can manage cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking storage can prevent Saved Ideas from persisting, and blocking login cookies can prevent administrator sign-in.
Advertising, analytics, and links
Rumeya does not currently run advertising tags, Google Analytics, a newsletter signup, or public account registration. Technical processing by our hosting provider and Cloudflare still takes place. Fonts and article images are served from Rumeya’s own domain.
If we introduce advertising or visitor analytics, we will update this policy and provide the choices required for those features before they are used. Links to manufacturers, Pinterest, or other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Service providers and processing locations
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare help operate and secure the site. They may process technical information in countries other than where you live. Cloudflare’s privacy policy describes its global processing. Contact messages are stored with the website’s hosting service; we do not send them to an email-marketing service.
How long information is kept
Contact messages are scheduled for deletion from the live database after 90 days through a daily cleanup. We can remove a message earlier when handling an appropriate request. Saved Ideas remain in your browser until removed or cleared.
Server logs are rotated daily when nonempty; the server keeps up to 14 rotated log files. Recovery backups are separate from the live website. The routine backup schedule keeps the seven most recent completed daily backup sets, so a deleted message may remain in a recovery copy until that copy is replaced. A delay in backup rotation can extend that period.
Your choices and requests
You can read without an account, choose whether to save guides, clear browser storage, and decide whether to send a message. Depending on the rules that apply where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to raise concerns about its use.
To ask about information held by Rumeya, use the contact form and select “Privacy request.” Describe the feature or message involved. We may need enough information to verify the request before acting; do not send identification documents through this form.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the site’s features or data practices change. The date at the top identifies this version.
